Review: 2010 Mitsubishi FB18TCA Counterbalance Forklift
Mitsubishi FB18TCA Counterbalance Forklift: The Introduction
Forklift trucks are said to be the “worker bees” of any warehousing business. Not only can they help you move materials short distances, they can also do the heavy lifting jobs for you. However, despite their toughness and durability, there will still come a time that you will have to replace them, especially if you’re expanding your business or upgrading your services.
Now, in case you’re currently on the market for a new forklift truck, bear in mind that there are some factors that you need to put into consideration first before buying. Few of them is the power and the efficiency. If you will be requiring a unit that can work almost all day and can finish multiple jobs in a jiffy, then I suggest you walk right towards the Mitsubishi brand. This large manufacturer offers a wide range of award-winning forklift trucks. One of their most sought after model, though, which will also be the subject of my review, is the FB18TCA Counterbalance Forklift.
Mitsubishi FB18TCA Counterbalance Forklift: Key Features
When we’ve tested the Mitsubishi FB18TCA a couple of days ago, there’s only one thing kept me interested: its power and reliability. Particularly, this counterbalance forklift truck incorporates a strong AC hydraulic motor that not only delivers high torque but provides smooth and controlled lifting and lowering as well. Aside from that, it also takes advantages of the on-demand electric power steering. This steering system results in effortless maneuvering of the vehicle, with lower energy consumption and lesser motor noise.
In terms of performance and efficiency, the FB18TCA won’t also disappoint. Similar to other models in the series, it has this electrical and control system that consists of three acceleration modes and eight speed settings. It allows easy programming as well without the need of any special tool. All these then enable the vehicle to perform at a top level and finish multiple material handling jobs in just a fraction of a time.
Furthermore, this Mitsubishi industrial truck also boasts its on-board diagnostics and fault memory folder. Upon testing, this feature kept us aware of any issue or problem, therefore, helping us prevent further damages.
Well, there are two design features that caught my eye the moment I saw the three-wheel FB18TCA. Those are the operator compartment and the Vacuum Fluorescent display. The compartment, specifically, is so ergonomic it brings an adjustable steering wheel and a full suspension seat. The VFD display, meanwhile, uses both icons and texts to show real-time information even in direct sunlight.
The great things about the Mitsubishi FB18TCA don’t just end there. In addition to the superb standard features that I’ve detailed above, there are also other optional accessories that you can request for. These include a windshield with or without a wiper, rear combination lights, fingertip controls, and cold storage specifications. You can also opt got a pre-set picking height, new tyres, and a load weight indicator in a VFD multi-display.
