UniCarriers Americas Corp., a manufacturer of a wide range of engine- and electric-powered forklifts, have just brought their WLX Series of pallet trucks to the next level with the addition of a poly-block stability casters option. According to the company, these casters will help provide better balance when moving taller or off-center loads for that steadier operation and safer material handling.
Essentially, the poly-block stability casters bring several noteworthy features. One is the swivel bearings. These bearings are made for better impact resistance, higher strength, and longer wear. Tapered roller bearings are also present, which help absorb vertical and horizontal forces to be able to deliver a smoother swivel performance and excellent durability. Adding up, the casters integrate a polyurethane spring block as well. This gives a softened cushioning that results in a more comfortable operation even over small debris or bumpy floors.
Furthermore, another nice feature of the WLX Series casters option is its load wheel. Supplied with dual and sealed ball bearings, this part allows the wheel to rotate freely without any interferences and binding. In terms of construction, the poly-block stability casters boast zinc-plated components that not only protect them from corrosion but also enable them to provide a longer service life.
“The Stability Casters bring a new dimension of reliability and ruggedness to our WLX Series,” said Mark Porwit, the Product Management Director at UniCarriers Americas. “The option is designed to provide operators with greater stability, so they can feel confident with every use,” he added. Some sources even noted that the caster assembly durability testing went completely fine and resulted in no signs of low performance nor significant wear even after thousands of severe usage cycles.
The UniCarriers Americas’s WLX Series of pallet trucks, which was launched earlier this year, is said to deliver more value than many competitors. Some of its key features include a large 4,500 lbs. capacity, a powerful hydraulic system, and a durable design.
