Toyota Industrial Equipment is looking to close the year strong as they aim to boost the company’s critically-acclaimed High-Capacity forklift lineup. It was just last year when Toyota showcased its “Toyota Heavy Duty,” or “THD” High-Capacity forklift truck range, with its flagship model featuring an impressive lifting capacity of up to 72,000 pounds. This year, however, the company has perhaps exceeded most expectations as they unveil the latest expansion of the THD lineup, led by the addition of a 125,000-pound capacity lift truck.
Our heavy industrial customers said they needed work-horse forklift solutions and we listened,” said Mark Faiman, IC Product Manager for Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A. “The new addition of Toyota THD High-Capacity lift trucks can handle loads from 80,000 pounds up to 125,000 pounds and are designed to give steel, pipe, precast concrete, and other industrial yard customers unprecedented flexibility in material handling.”
The expansion of the THD has been anticipated by many following its strong success in the industrial and material handling industry. The new units will still carry the same ergonomic design from the THD models last year, albeit it’s made stronger and more resistant to external elements. The heftier Toyota heavy-duty model expansion will round out a line of high-capacity forklifts that have been popular with industrial customers from lumber yards to large ports.
With a powerful lift capacity of 125,000 pounds, the large and rugged lift truck is expected to handle almost any heavy load and material handling applications. It is also primed to set the pace for next year’s forklift market due to its last quarter release in 2016. In any case, Toyota forklift dealers are now accepting orders which are all expected to be completed before the end of the year.
